ProColor ROES
ProColor ROES is our online ordering software. It’s FREE and very easy to use. All of our products are available to be ordered through ProColor ROES.
ProColor ROES is a Java based interface that’s easy to use, making this popular front end software an efficient way for photographers to send their files to the lab. With ProColor ROES integrated into our already automated system, it’s now possible to submit and receive your pictures faster than ever. And best of all, it’s free! That’s right, it won’t cost anything to download and use this application.
Getting Started
When ProColor ROES loads, the first window that comes up is the Customer Information box. It is very important that the box be filled out first, before starting to create an order. Each field is crucial for orders to come through the system smoothly.

- Name: Type your name here. This is important in case there are multiple people who order from the same account number. If there is a question about an order, it lets us know exactly who to contact.
- Studio Name: Insert your studio or business name here. If you do not have a studio or business name, then please put the full name that the account is under.
- Email Address: Insert your preferred email address here. If there are problems with an order and you cannot be contacted by phone, this is the other means of reaching you. Order status notifications will also be sent to this address.
- Phone Number: Please enter a preferred contact phone number here. It may be a work number or personal number.
- Address, City, State, Zip Code: Please enter a preferred mailing address.
Program Sections
After saving the customer information and closing the box, three windows similar to these below should be open. Each palette may be resized according to personal preference.

1. Main Window - The main window is where most of the file handling is done. Inside this window files are imported, placed into a specific product, and added to the order. Certain elements of ProColor ROES may be customized using the Preferences button on the bottom left of the window.

On the bottom of the main window (right above the preferences button) are all of the image editing buttons. Use these buttons to rotate product layouts, zoom in and out, rotate the image and several other options (scroll over a button with the mouse and a description of what it does will pop up).
2. Sizes Palette – This window is used to switch product catalogs. Every time ProColor ROES launches, the 4×6 Proof Prints catalog opens by default. It is recommended that you leave this window open to navigate catalogs and products. If this palette is closed, click on the Sizes button in the main palette, and then choose "Show Sizes Palette…" on the menu. It is possible to navigate through the catalogs and products using this menu as well.

3. Options Palette – This is where additional options may be added to a product, such as mounting, laminating, image tone as well as several other options depending upon which catalog and product is chosen. For products such as press printed cards, this is where spread options and paper types are picked. Just like the Sizes Palette, if this window is closed then click on the Options button (right next to the Sizes button) and choose "Show Options Palette…" from the menu. All the options may be added through this menu as well as the palette. Remember that not all option are chosen through this palette. Shipping and handling options are chosen on the review order, for example, so make sure to double check the order before submitting.

Loading Images
Getting pictures to load into ProColor ROES is very simple. Press the "Folder…" button in the main palette window, and then choose the folder on the hard drive where the digital files are stored. Click open and all the files within that folder will start loading into the empty area in the main palette. Remember, ProColor ROES will upload all files within the chosen folder and all files within any subfolder as well.

When the files have finished loading, the images can be reorganized, rotated, and hidden. Multiple files can be selected at the same time, as well. This is especially helpful when uploading proof orders or jobs where several images are printed on the same size paper. Just select all images at once and drag them over into the product, then each file will be added once to the order. The quantity of individual products can be changed on the Review Order screen.

Reviewing An Order
When all the products have been added to the order and it is ready to be submitted, press the "Review Order" and a new window will pop up. The order review screen contains an overview of each individual item that has been added, including a thumbnail picture, all the options that have been applied to the item, the amount ordered and each price adding up to the total. To edit one of the items, click on the dotted box to the left of the thumbnail, and to delete it click on the red minus sign.

The bottom half of the window displays the order level options for the catalog. Choose if the order is being picked up or shipped, give the job a studio reference, choose if the items should receive color correction (not applicable in some catalogs) and write any special instructions if needed. When this is all correctly filled out, give the order one last thorough review and press the "Complete Order" button.
Completing and Sending
After clicking on the complete order button, a window with three options pops up. Choose between sending via the Internet, saving for sending later, or burning the job onto a disc.

Click the next button. On the next screen pick the payment option, either use the card on file, use a new credit card, or pick up and pay. After choosing the method of payment click the next button once more and the job will be queued to send.
Once the job starts sending, be sure not to exit out of ProColor ROES before it is completely finished. If for some reason it gets closed and the order has not finished sending, click on the open and save button in the main palette and choose show queued orders. If the order hasn’t completed, click on the send button next to it. Once the job has completed and the order has been written up, an email will be sent confirming that we have received the order.
